Today more than ever, customers are on the look-out for restaurants that provide healthy yet delicious dining options – whether this means a meal that suits their dietary requirements, or a meal that is heavy on the veggies.

We asked Citibank Dining Restaurant Partner Nino Zoccali, from The Restaurant Pendolino, what he thought about the rise in healthy eating.

“With the move toward super food trends, people are really looking at their lifestyle and their health, and the way they eat is very important to them.

“We’re definitely seeing customers requesting healthier food. In particular, we are seeing a lot of people coming in and requesting vegetarian menus. My wife is vegetarian, so that’s had an influence on me and we try very hard to make sure there’s an exciting option on the table that is also meat-free.”

Grand Bar and Bistro, Perth

A venue influenced by the glitz and glamour of the international fashion scene, Chef’s Paul O`Neil, Andy Fell and Victor Renard bring their passion for creating great food and an amazing menu that delivers casual comfort favourites but not without a sophisticated twist. Delicious vegetarian options we recommend trying are the charred haloumi; confit grape tomatoes, hazelnut crumb, kasundi pickle, or the gnocchi; sage brown butter, almond, roasted butternut purée!

Gramercy Bar and Kitchen, Perth

Gramercy Bar & Kitchen is located in the building that was formerly home to the famous Ecucina Restaurant, which is located near Central Park, His Majesty's Theatre and Perth Arena. Popular vegetarian options on their menu include roast fennel & tomato tartlet, lemon scented goats curd, witlof salad, beetroot with whipped goats cheese and watercress and mouth-watering fried vegetable bites with turmeric and dill sour cream.

 Agni Fine Cuisine, Innaloo

No wonder this is a multi-award winning restaurant - its luxurious, traditional Indian decor sets the scene perfectly for the menu's authentic North and South Indian cuisine. There are 16 dishes to pick from the vegetarian menu, which boasts traditional Indian dishes like dhal basanti, aloo palak and malai kofta curry. Everything is cooked to order from the freshest and best produce and many dishes and breads are prepared in a real Tandoor, imparting a unique flavour and texture to the food.

The Grosvenor Hotel, Perth

The Grosvenor Hotel is an iconic Heritage pub which has been lovingly restored and refurbished into a comfortable and vibrant inner city local. Along with friendly professional staff, a fantastic range of draught beer, well-crafted modern pub food and a wine list that will suit everybody's tastes, the Grosvenor have a vegetarian and gluten free menu available. Our favourite picks include the spinach linguini with mushroom, onion and capsicum then finished with a napolitana sauce and the funguy pizza with wild mushroom, button and porcini mushrooms, onion, haloumi cheese and basil!

Ingredients are seasonal and local with the wood fire oven playing an integral part in the menu. A range of vegetarian plates, perfect for sharing or solo dining include – ‘broccamole’ tortillas, charred asparagus with peas, broad beans, green goddess, sheep cheese and sorghum and goat haloumi with strawberry, lime, agave and pistachio!
